A delicious, food-filled walking tour of Sorrento will showcase not only over a dozen local delicious foods, but in the most beautiful environment. Enjoy the security of a private driver throughout the week.
Cities and locations we will visit include:
Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, Sorrento, the Island of Capri & Anacapri
The adventure begins at your 4* accommodations, centrally located near the Amalfi piazza, just minutes away from the famous Cathedral. Adjust and settle in, knowing this will be your home for the full week. In the evening, we will enjoy a welcoming wine tasting, a casual walk in the city center and a delicious welcome dinner.
Today is dedicated to Amalfi and its prized lemons. We will enjoy a unique guided walk through the lemon groves with one of Amalfi’s most beloved local farmer. The adventure begins with a lesson on limoncello-making and sampling a specialty cake local only to this area. After a delicious lemony snack, we will tour the surroundings and get an overview of where the lemons grow and why the Amalfi environment helps them thrive. After, we will roll up our sleeves and get cooking under the most scenic location. We will prepare a multi-course lunch utilizing only local ingredients. After all the work, we will get to enjoy the fruits of our labor with a delicious late lunch, in an environment like you have never seen before. Relax and enjoy the area, or walk off those lunch calories while snapping some Facebook-worthy pictures.
After our late lunch, you will have time to explore Amalfi on your own.
Ready to visit one of the most adored islands in Italy? Than welcome to Capri! Today, we will sail along the coast on our privately-chartered, fully equipped boat, where we will enjoy a truly magical experience. Our personal skipper will sail us along the most charming places as we admire the beautiful characteristics and landscape of Amalfi, Positano and Capri. Enjoy a lovely drink and appetizer on board and celebrate moments of absolute relaxation and fun. If the water is warm enough, you can even enjoy a swim. Upon arriving on the island, we will enjoy a delicious lunch, after that, you will have several hours on your own on to explore the island and spend the time as you wish. Shop for some of their famous sandals, sightsee, or simply enjoy a gelato and people-watch in one of the most entertaining locations in Italy.
Located at the foot of Mt. Vesuvius, today we visit a family winery that has been producing unique organic wines since the 1940s. During the class, we will prepare some traditional local dishes and learn the history in which these dishes came to be. We will tour the facilities and discover the scents, flavors and unique colors of this area. After a walk through the organic garden, we will select ingredients to be used in our class. During class, we can expect to prepare dishes such as ravioli caprese, parmigiana napoletana, and a delicious almond and lemon cake. All enjoyed with wine made on location.
After the class, we head back to Amalfi to enjoy some time as we please.
Be sure to have your cell phone and camera charged today, as we’re heading towards two of Italy’s most photographed locations: Sorrento and Positano. We begin with Sorrento, which will be experienced in the most delicious way. Enjoy a food-filled adventure in the historic center as we taste over a dozen local specialties including arancini (rice balls), gnocchi, buffalo mozzarella, local salumi & cheeses. For dessert, we will try Campania’s most beloved pastry, the sfogliatella. The shell-shaped pastry is a specialty of this region. Of course, it’s all washed down with vino, craft beer, limoncello and other local liquors. Meet the local artisans behind these products, all while enjoying a most scenic route.
After our delicious time in Sorrento, we head towards Positano. Easily one of the most recognized locations, the cliffside village is filled with charm, personality and character. Take in the sights of the colorful homes, the scent of the sea and the natural beauty that surrounds us.
Today we step outside of Amalfi for part of the day and head towards the hilltop town of Ravello, famous for its stunning views of the Mediterranean, and the dramatic views below. We will visit two of the Amalfi Coast most famous villas, Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone. Now a 5* hotel, Villa Cimbrone is the crown jewel of Ravello. Dating back to the 11th century, the gardens offer perhaps the most memorable sight in all of the coast. Not for the faint of heart, the view is more than 1200 feet above the Mediterranean, making it a spectacular spot for pictures. The gardens of Villa Rufolo are also magical and we will also visit them during our time in Ravello.
A late lunch will be enjoyed at a lovely wine bar in Ravello.
Today, you will have the day to enjoy as you please. Enjoy the beaches in Amalfi, walk the neighboring towns, take the ferry to Positano, or simply spend some time locally and purchase some local artisanal souvenirs. Whatever you decide to do is up to you. In the evening, we will enjoy a final celebration dinner.
