Experience the very best of Southern Tuscany on this exclusive small-group culinary journey, based entirely in the enchanting hilltop town of Cortona—my new part-time hometown. Made famous by Under the Tuscan Sun, Cortona is one of Tuscany’s most captivating villages, where medieval streets, sweeping countryside views, and authentic Italian life create the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable week.
Throughout your stay, you’ll call a luxurious boutique hotel home, where warm hospitality meets exceptional comfort. Wake each morning to what has been recognized as one of Italy’s finest breakfasts before setting out to explore the very best this remarkable region has to offer. Your stay also includes thoughtful touches such as a complimentary stocked minibar, evening aperitivo, nightly cantucci and Vin Santo, and one complimentary laundry service per room.
Designed around the art of slow travel, you’ll spend the week exploring Tuscany and neighboring Umbria from a single base, allowing you to experience Italy at a relaxed pace rather than constantly packing and unpacking. Wander the timeless streets of Cortona, enjoy a guided food tour through Florence, discover the Renaissance beauty of Montepulciano, stroll along the shores of picturesque Lake Trasimeno, and uncover the hidden treasures of historic Arezzo.
Of course, food and wine are at the heart of every day. Roll up your sleeves during hands-on culinary experiences in stunning countryside estates, learn the art of traditional Italian cheesemaking, hunt for prized truffles alongside expert truffle hunters and their dogs, and savor leisurely farm-to-table meals that celebrate the region’s seasonal bounty. Visit award-winning wineries and olive oil estates, where passionate local producers will introduce you to the flavors and traditions that have been passed down through generations. Every experience has been carefully chosen to offer authentic access to the people, places, and traditions that most visitors never have the opportunity to experience.
