Sunday Supper Cooking Classes
The "Sunday Supper" Cooking Classes are intimate culinary experiences held in a private home in Medford, MA. The classes are limited to a small group and a full meal is prepared together by the students then enjoyed family-style in our dining room. Cooking begins at 4:00PM with dinner immediately following. Written recipes are provided so students can replicate the meal at home. Classes are part demonstration and part hands-on. Everything prepared by the group is enjoyed afterwards.
Class sizes are purposely kept to a minimum in order to foster a harmonious experience and enjoy a family-style dining experience afterwards. Classes sell out quick so don't delay signing up! A Sunday Restaurant Meal - At Home! Sunday, June 24, 2018, 10:30AM Medford, MA Ready to learn to prepare a real "Sunday" showpiece? Than look no further than this special class! Lasagna is always everyone's favorite dish, but it's traditionally been considered so complicated and time-consuming! In this class, we will prepare lasagna with a Southern Italian twist! Forget the ricotta for this one, as we prepare a delicious meat sauce from scratch to go with our lasagna! Filled with salami, provolone and hard boiled eggs (yes, hard boiled eggs!) this stick-to-your ribs main course is sure to please even the pickiest eaters in your household. A lighter and summery second course awaits us as we prepare Chicken Piccata with Artichokes to accompany our lasagna! A tomato, basil and red onion salad will also be prepared by students. And what would Sunday dinner be without dessert? Come learn to prepare the perfect summer ending, and everyone's favorite: Tiramisu! After this meal, you might never wish to visit a restaurant again! An Italian Mothers Day Brunch - Special Class Sunday, May 6, 2018 10:30am Medford, MA Mother's Day is right around the corner and this year, treat your mom to something special! Rather than the overdone restaurant brunch, be more creative and original and prepare her a delicious and thoughtful homemade brunch instead! Come to our class and learn how to prepare several dishes that will impress any mom! Or better yet, bring her to our class for a special bonding experience! During this class, we will prepare: Bowties with sausage, peas and mushrooms; a delicious asparagus frittata; eggs in purgatory; a fruit macedonia; ricotta filled cannollis and everyone's favorite, anise pizzelle. Sunday Supper Cooking Class - Springtime in Italy Sunday, March 11, 2018 4:00pm - SOLD OUT! Medford, MA Springtime is almost here and at Lazy Italian Culinary Adventures, we're preparing a delicious seasonal menu that is sure to please your palates. Come learn how to prepare a few simple, yet absolutely delicious, dishes that you will want to add to your spring repertoire. On the menu for this class will be a seasonal risotto served with asparagus, prosciutto wrapped pork tenderloin seasoned with rosemary and cooked in a wine sauce, and roasted artichoke hearts with fingerling potatoes. For dessert, a citrus cake is prepared ahead of time for you to enjoy with espresso or a glass of wine. Sunday Supper Cooking Class - Italian-Style Holiday Preparation Sunday, November 12, 2017 4:00pm - SOLD OUT! Medford, MA Believe it or not, the holidays are just around the corner. Add a few new dishes to your reportuare and impress family and friends during the upcoming holiday season. Invite friends and loved ones to a delightful Italian dinner this season—no passport required! Join us on Sunday, November 12th as we prepare several recipes that are delicious and guest-worthy, yet each of which you'll be able to easily recreate at home. Our first course will be fettuccine in turkey bolognese sauce, then we move on to prepare chicken bundles stuffed with provolone, parmigiano and ham and as our side dish, or contorno, we will prepare peas with pearl onions and prosciutto! Sunday Supper Cooking Class - Autumn in Italy Sunday, October 15, 2017 4:00pm - SOLD OUT! Medford, MA Fall means one thing, it's time to get back in the kitchen! While the summer permits us the opportunity for outdoor grilling, it's now time we head back indoors for some seasonal dishes. Join us on Sunday, October 15th as we welcome the fall season with some delicious Italian specialties. Our first course will be Risotto di Zucca (Easy Pumpkin Risotto), afterwards, we will prepare chicken saltimbocca, so good, it will literally jump in your mouth and broccoli rabe sautéed with olive oil and garlic. Italians love cooking with alcohol and aren’t shy about using it. Learn to prepare one of Italy’s most famous pasta dishes, penne alla vodka. Our second course will include chicken Marsala, a deliciously boozy dish that is favored by many. Our contorno (side dish) will be a stir-fry using delectable artichoke hearts in dry white wine. Calabrian Italian 1 SESSION: 3/14/18: 6:00pm - 9:00pm; $60 An undiscovered region surrounded by crystal blue seas, Calabria prides itself on dishes not frequently found in other parts of Italy. Learn to prepare a few dishes using some of Calabria’s most beloved ingredients. We will start with a red onion bruschetta, a regional favorite from the city of Tropea, followed by a pasta dish of spaghetti and swordfish in red sauce. An Italian Mother's Day Brunch: 1 SESSION: 5/9/18: 6:00pm - 9:00pm; $60 Avoid the lines at the restaurants this year and treat your mom to something really special, an Italian-inspired homemade brunch! Start the meal with a beautiful egg frittata, for the sides enjoy some prosciutto wrapped asparagus seasoned with parmesan cheese and Italian seasoned potatoes. Boston Center for Adult Education The Italian Bakery: Biscotti & Cookies: 1 SESSION: 3/31/18; 10:00am - 1:00pm It might not come to you as a surprise to learn that Italians love their desserts and love ending a meal with something sweet. Biscotti are ideal when craving something crunchy to dunk in the espresso or Vin Santo for an after dinner treat.
